Depends on when your school takes it. For a June test date, most will sign up in December or January

I signed up about this time last year. There's a form that you take to the registrar along with a passport-sized photo to verify your enrollment. After NBME receives this information you get a scheduling permit via email that allows you to sign up for a test date/location.

Yup, my school just sent out the e-mail telling us to go online and get the application process rolling.
