Silly q: Can we pee in the MIDDLE of a block?

Lol, I was just wondering. I'll be loaded on caffeine that day, so I was wondering if I have to pee will i have to wait the end of the block, or can i just go in the middle of it.

If you really had to, sure. Taking a break in the middle of the block gets flagged as abnormal behavior and is subjected to whatever guidelines the NBME has in place for dealing with those for the USMLE test.

So... really, it's just better to wait until the end of the block.

Yeah, you can "pause" during the middle of the block and leave. The actual timer will still be running and it'll get flagged. I'm sure you could always justify it by saying your bladder was about to explode or you were experiencing some urge incontinence or something, but no point risking it. Bring diapers.

Can u pee in the middle of an NBME block? Same thing. You can get up but the timers still ticking, and it takes a few min to get in and out fingerprinting each time. I think your bladder will adjust....

If you're that worried, I'm sure you can find some tolterodine lying around somewhere.

However in actuality, I'd reckon that since the SNS will be through the roof, you won't have an issue.

Don't do this. Your exam will be flagged. You should try to pee during every break if this is a serious concern. If you need to pee more than once every hour, you should check your blood sugar as well as your prostate and/or uterus. 😛
