Silly question about specializing

If you want to specialize in ortho after 4 years of Dental school is it simply 2 more years?

so 6 years in total? or am I missing something?


and for oral surgeons 8 in total?

At some schools, I think the ortho specialty is 3 years long, but that's because they make you get a masters at the same time.

What's Posted above is correct, ortho is either 2-3 years of additional training. OMFS is 4-6 years of additional training (depending on if you obtain an M.D.).
