...........are you given scrap paper for the math and chemistry sections?

........... how can you get a 68 in one section, 50 in another and still get a 90 on the test????

.......... can i bring my own pencils?

........... am i allowed to breathe during the test?.......... just kidding

I don't know. But I know that the test is getting harder.

1. One is actually graded and the other is experimental. You don't get to know which is which.

2. You have to use the blank sheets that are in your test booklet.

3. Probably by scoring extremely high in the sections that a majority of people are going to do crappy in ie. math?.

4. Yes, bring lots of pencils (especially for those essays!).

Just to add, I don't think there are any extra pages in the booklet for scratch. You just have to work around the problem in the columns. If there are extra pages, then I am totally pissed I didn't notice...lol. Chemistry you really don't need much room, and for most of math I was fine. There were a couple problems I would have liked some extra room though. Really you aren't supposed to do much long calculation or else you are probably thinking too hard.

So Kaplan has some overkill in their questions? I am using all kinds of scrap paper for their calculations!! It's good to know the test will be more straightforward. Thanks!

I recall there being plenty of room in the test booklet to do any necessary calculations. I don't think Kaplan's math section in their book is representative of the actual PCAT Math.

Yeah, maybe I was thinking of the blank pages for essay planning. I just remember using scratch paper in the booklet for something (it's kind of all a blur now ).
