Has anyone ever heard of long term simvastatin use causing bladder dysfunction or leading to more problems in a person with an overactive bladder? I'm trying to figure out if the myopathy caused by the statins is limited to skeletal muscle or does it extend over to the smooth muscle.
One of the pharmacists over here at the nursing home was questioning whether there would be an effect on bladder function associated with long term use.
