anyone know how to get out of this??

I am referring to when you have ALL of your educational debt with 1 FFELP lender (usually either sallie mae or direct loans), you can not consolidate with the other.

people who have undergrad and med school debt from two different institutions (one sallie mae and one direct) can consolidate with either.

I was told that if i took a few credits at a nearby college which participates in the other lender, I would then have a choice (even though it would only be about 1 % of my total educational debt.) I am willing to do this cause i have some free time, but it just seems like a pain in the ass. does anyone know of an easier loop hole?
