Today I received my first acceptance from Southern Illinois University. A great feeling to be offered a position in dental school, I can't wait to be there! (Ahhh the sweet smell of latex...!)

I also have an interview at Indiana University soon, so maybe a few options will open up. Otherwise, still on hold at Marquette, Iowa, and Oregon.

I'm a late bird in sending in all my materials, but it seems to be a successful attemt.

Thanks all for help and good luck to you all!!!

👍

congratz! you should just relax and let things play through with the other schools and if you dont get much luck, your still going to dental school in the fall!

Congrats! 🙂 By the way, I don't think it's worth the money and time to go to your Indiana interview if you are In-State for SIU. It would be hard to justify the extra cost (over $100K difference) to attend Indiana over SIU, though some could make the argument for Marquette or Oregon if you get interviews there.

Tuition is much more over there in Indy...You definitly have reason there. I'll have to sit on that for a couple of days. Thanks for your input! 😀

Yeeehawww! That's what I'm talking about!

Getting in really feels great...my four years here at university have culminated to the apex of a dental school acceptance!!! (Seriously, who could complain?!?)

Congrats! WHen did you interview? How'd you find out?

I interviewed on Dec. 19th, and I found out by checking the status of my aadsas application, and it said "offer made." I knew what this mean, but I had to call them (for myself) to make sure I was seeing what they had indicated.

Otherwise, if not for checking my aadsas status, I probably wouldn't have found out until wednesday, when my official letter should arrive in the mail.
