Has anyone at a difficult university (i.e. UC caliber school) taken ochem and then waited a year (i.e. from June 2013 to October 2014) and only then taken biochem? Would this make biochem a lot harder, or are the ochem concepts basic enough that it shouldn't be a problem?

Thanks!

Most of the freshman orgo kids at my HYP school take biochem junior year. If you're gonna forget all of orgo in a year, doing poorly in biochem is the least of your worries.

It's not like you'll need to know all the steps in the mechanism for the Wittig reaction in biochem. That **** is useless.
