I hear from every dentist that I talk to, during their dental school, there was at least one week they slept less than 20hours total. Haha Is that true, what is the least number of hours you dental students sleep during your worst weeks?

This past finals week i slept a total of 10 hours. I pulled an all nighter every night. My secret is the "Box of Joe" from dunkin Donuts. Most people don't use this study method, but i am a big time crammer. Now that finals are done, i have been sleeping an average of 12 hours a night, tring to catch up for the lost sleep. Now that i have all my grades, i can say that the all nighters payed off!

Hey JRogoff...why is there a penis in your mouth?

finals week...i got about 19 hrs of sleep

When i first read this i got extremly mad. Then i looked at that picture a little more carefully and i saw it! I do have a penis in my mouth! Too bad its not my mouth.

By the way, the picture is soposed to show tori, its a total bonus that its showing something else!

Actually, that picture shows a torus. Tori is plural.

LOVE the pic JRogoff!! To bad its not in mine either 😉
I do have wierd sleeping habits even though I am not in dental school, which most likely is not too healthy. During finals week, I sleep in 2 hour intervals, so I wake up during REM sleep. I wake up(sort of) completely dizzy and disoriented, its almost like a drunk feeling. After I get less dizzy I am wide awake and ready to go study.

I don't know, i think i see multiple torus, hence Tori.

I slept about 3-4 hours a night during finals week. Let's not get all "ohh i slept soo much less than you did.." I don't do well w/ all nighters, some people do. Nice wang there JRogoff.

I'd say i slept 5 hours a night during finals except for the all nighter i pulled for histology. I still need my sleep and if i don't get enough i can't think as fast as normal. What works for a lot of people doesn't work for me.

During my senior year of college i played 4days straight no limit texas hold'em with only bathroom breaks and eat while playing. That is my record.

i dunno what it is. but lately i've been hearing soo much bragging from people (especially pre-meds!!!) who say they only slept 1-2 a night while studying. these same people who pull all nighters now in dental school are probably teh same ones who pulled all nighters during under-grad for organic, biochem or anyone of those other classes. i personally find it much more important to get a good nights rest and be awake during the test. i've never pulled an all nighter, always slept at least 5 hrs before tests and never got below a B in any of my classes (with one small exception) sleeping 7-8 hrs a night is optimal. read the time magazine (came out sometime last month) about sleep (cover story). VERY interesting.. moral of the post: not sleeping is not cool
hahah

AMEN! Couldn't agree more. I cherish my sleep. It is very necessary for me to even begin to answer a question on an exam with full 'mental power.'
