Comparison between schools
Hi all. I've been lucky enough to have a few acceptances, and I need help deciding between these three schools. Financial aid will be a huge factor in determining which school I choose to attend.
I would like to attend a school with true P/F and I am interested in Optho and possibly ENT.

- new hospital building, will be up when I am an M2
- True pass/fail
- New systems based curriculum
- Great opportunities for serving community
- BBQ scene here is amazing
- big park
- has a good(?) optho program
CONS
- tuition: 55k/yr;
- city can be dangerous
Wright State University
PROS
- cheap tuition (instate): 33k/yr
- close to family
- rly good vibes on interview day - I liked all the med students I talked to, and the dean was really nice
CONS
- reputation as a “primary care” school
- weak research
- mandatory attendance PBL/TBL ??? (no traditional lectures)
- area (Dayton) is not the most fun
- no optho
Drexel University
PROS
- Philly (amazing city with awesome food, lots of other grad students, fun things to do 😀)
- no mandatory lectures
- students were nice and seemed happy, talked to us interviewees even tho they weren’t part of tour group
- Constantly updating curriculum, seems to me they care about providing the best education possible (may be a con, idk)
- Has an optho dept.
CONS
- Tuition 86k/yr (holy.)
- Med school is completely separate from undergrad?
Einstein (If i am accepted- decision pending)
PROS
- loveeeeeed interview day. Everyone was so friendly.
- Campus is beautiful and surprisingly green
- Amazing research opportunities
- non mandatory lectures
- Has an optho dept
- TRUE PASS FAIL
- close to NYC (lots of stuff to do + good food)
- Tuition (55k)
- city noise/air pollution
- no local snowboard resorts
