well today i was at panera bread with some friends wearing a OU Sooners shirt, and a man comes up to me and asks if i go to OU, and im like no i go to Emory, but im from oklahoma. he is like im from oklahoma too. ask what year i am in the shcool, and asks what my career plans are, and i am like premed, med school. he is like yeah, and then he gives me his business card and is like anytime you want to come and see how everythign wroks you are free to give me a call. well on his business card it says that he is a pediatrics resident at emory. so im wonderign when would be a good time to give him a call, to see if i could go shadow him or whatever. Is sometime this week (like thursday) proper to call? i just wanna know when would be a good time for me to call, cause this is a great chance to get some great exposure in and i dont want him to forget me. i have to say, im really grateful for the oklahoma networking connection in atl.

call at your leisure. i don't see where the problem is. most physicians love the break of the daily grind, not to mention the attention.

Nah, tryingagain isn't jealous. He's already been accepted to med school. He's just been working wayyyyyy to hard to gain acceptance that he's had no time for love in his life.

Its a pet peeve of mine. My little sister does it all the time. No offense, but it makes you sound dumb. I hope that you don't use it when you speak to people in your interviews. It would get really annoying very quickly.

Why wait till Thursday - I would call as soon as possible to show interest and so that he remembers! You don't have to be ready to go in the day you call, just able to set up a time.

I think "like" is less annoying than "ya know", which most of my friends seem to think should be used like commas and periods. 😉
