What technologies are out there for Inventory management in hospital pharmacy.
Something that allows real-time track of what is available, what is low, location of meds and allows efficiency in inventory management system.
What have you seen or heared that’s out there???

Many manufacturers are in this business, Omnicell, Pyxis, Accudose... They all provide the functions you are looking for. Tech or nurse with access can do global search and see the inventory for the site.

In term of multiple inventory tracking from various facilities, satellites; I think Omnicell is ahead of the pack. So if you are large system and wanted to move drugs from one facility to another or if you are running a warehouse , that would be vey useful. Plus, they can also predict trend and seasonal usage variations.
