Smoking during the USMLE

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I don't think I have ever seen so many words say nothing at all.

All I have to say, having read through this thread, is that I really doubt you will ever get into med school with that lack of compassion. If you are trolling, good job on the troll, but SDN is usually not the best place for a premed to troll since adcoms can usually figure out who is who.

Either way, I find it weird a testing center would let you smoke. Toxins from that second hand smoke flaring up my asthma when I'm not allowed to take in my bronchodialators would not be the best situation. I get the need to smoke, but I kind of feel like training to minimize the urge could be a part of the "physical" aspect of training up to the exam. We all have to train for fatigue and eye strain. I figure even someone with frequent urination has to "prepare" by limiting hydration, why not a smoker? Just my 2 cents...

you guys are getting double trolled by both OP and the premed

Trollception.
It's like a troll within a troll.

I'm partial to intussusception though.

Nevermind. I looked it up. My testing center allows smoking at the stations. Phew.

If I was the person sitting next to you at your station, I would accidentally-on-purpose knock you over and ruin your testing concentration, since you're ruining my air with your carcinogens ... assuming you're not a troll of course. 😡

The testing center makes an accommodation for me via the Americans With Disabilities Act. I have a tobacco addiction that requires that I smoke a cigarette every 15 minutes. They would let you know prior to the test that so that you wouldn't be alarmed as I lit up.

This guy is totally a troll. Dear lord, this is the stupidest thing I've ever seen someone write on SDN. Shame on you for even saying this, because mocks people who have disabilities and for whom this act was created.
