i'm currently trying to decide on which SMP to enroll in. i've been accepted to tufts, georgetown, and VCU's certificate program. initially, i was set on attending georgetown, since it has the reputation of being the best SMP program. however, on second thought, i'm wondering what the advantages of going to georgetown are over going to VCU. if my goal is to get into medical school right after the SMP, wouldn't it make more sense to enroll in an SMP that has a history of high linkages (not necessarily VCU, but other programs like RFU etc)?

is it much riskier to attend georgetown/tufts? what are the advantages of attending a well-known/well-established program if it doesn't have great linkage rates?

thanks in advance for the advice/ input.

Georgetown > Tufts > VCU

The whole linking is over-rated IMO (for academic enhancers and SMPs; pre-health ppl it rocks) - very few typically link and the promise of interviews based on certain criteria can vary widely program to program. Not to mention them changing their minds whenever they want (many stories of Drexel doing this...)
