Hi everyone, I am currently in a weird spot and would like some advice regarding SMP's and whether to do it or not. My stats are 3.244 undergraduate GPA, a 3.81 post bacc gpa and I have experience working as a medical scribe and as a research associate. I have plenty of shadowing experience as well with DO's and MD's. My post-bacc gpa is good but I had to withdraw from Biochemistry due to personal reasons and I am not sure if the "W" will look bad on my transcript or not plus the post bacc program is not relatively well known. I am currently looking at BU Mams program and Geiseinger MBS program since both those programs are known as strong programs with having a good success in getting their students into medical school. Please let me know what you guys think! I am taking my MCAT in June 2020.

Both of those programs are pretty strong, but they're also both going to be very expensive and difficult. Is there a reason that you're not applying to medical school right after your post-bac? While MD will be difficult outside of your state school(s), you should be competitive at DO schools with an MCAT score of ~507.

I am looking to apply to MD/DO programs as well, I am keeping my options open if I don't get in this cycle.
