I graduated spring 2006, and applied very late that year. I got 1 interview then. I reapplied in 2007, earlier, but stupidly not as early as I could have. However, 0 interviews this year. I'm trying to figure out if doing an SMP would make me more competitive. I applied to around 13 in the first cycle and close to 20 in the second. I did research while in school, and i've been volunteering in our county hospital's ED for about 16 months. My current FT job is with the same hospital's electronic health records department, and involves a lot of 1 on 1 time with physicians in clinics. My question is if doing an SMP would help me. I'm aware of the risks of what happens if I don't do well, but I'm more focused and determined now than when I was in undergrad.
