Hey guys! Due to not scoring high enough on my MCAT FLs I won't be able to apply to SMP programs that require test scores. I was hoping if any of you guys know of any SMP programs that don't require any test scores. I was able to find two programs but that doesn't sound too safe to depend on. Thanks in advance.

Look into taking the GRE, some schools accept those scores and it won't require you taking the MCAT. It's also a relatively easy exam that wouldn't take much prep work depending on you aptitude for math and reading comprehension.

I'm currently in the process of applying to schools right now so unfortunately that isn't an option

George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences: Masters in Anatomical & Translational Sciences. On their website it says MCAT scores are not needed for admission but they are recommended.

SMPs that will take you without an MCAT score probably aren't programs you should be interested in. SMPs are expensive, and you're going to have to take the MCAT eventually. Time/money/effort spent on getting a decent MCAT score is a much smarter investment imo

Yeah I definitely agree with you. I actually might take the MCAT towards the end of summer by then the deadline for SMPs that require an MCAT score would be over.

Some SMP's are willing to put your application on hold until you take the MCAT and then once they recieve your score they'll make a decision.

I'll definitely look into that!

Hi, I know it's been a long time. But I'm in a position similar to you! I'm triyng to apply to SMPs but haven't taken the MCAT. What did you end up doing?

Hey! So I ended up completing an SMP during the COVID pandemic. At that time, some medical schools were temporarily waiving the MCAT requirement. I'm currently holding a couple of acceptances, and I feel that the SMP helped me as an applicant. Feel free to dm me if you have any questions!
