I was initially interested in applying to SMPs to bolster my med school application, but I recently found an interesting MS program in integrative anatomical sciences that I would like to apply to as well.

Does anyone know if medical schools view SMPs as a better way to determine if a student will be successful in medical school than an MS, or do they view them as equal?

SMPs are preferred because the coursework consists of med school courses. Research MS's have too much grade inflation for MD schools, but DO schools are OK with them.

Is the anatomy program a research program?????
It is not a research program, but one can choose to do research if one desires. It also requires you to take courses in how to teach anatomy.
2 courses (microanatomy and neuroanatomy) are taught alongside medical students
