Western offers a five week course that prepares students for dental school. The course is called Summer Medical Sciences Prep Program. It is held in summer from June 21st to July 23rd. I was wondering if some of Western dental students could tell us a little about this program. How helpful is this program? Is it worth 550 dollars and moving a month earlier?

It is a condensed class that goes over most of the science classes you will take in the first year. It was helpful to me because I had been out of school for 2 years. It got me back in the habit of going to class, studying, etc. I also liked it because we got to know people in other programs, which not a lot of other people at school get to do. We were able to get to know other people in our class, the faculty, the dean, students in other programs, and our way around Western, Pomona, and the towns we live in. And we had a lot of fun. I thought it was very worth it, especially when my classmates were freaking out about anatomy and I got to coast.
