Hey what do you guys reccomend for snacks and what works best from experience. I was thinking protein bars and sandwichs maybe some diet pop.

Tiger's Milk and Balance bars (by far the best protein bar out there, a close second would be the protein bars sold at CostCo that come in white box/wrap, can't remember the name....) It doesn't get much better than the Balance Gold "Chocolate Chocolate Crunch", and it's on sale for a buck at Osco Drug right now.

Go to a test center that is a floor above a RiteAid. That's what I'm doing.

peanut M&Ms....they've got the chocolate for immediate sugar boost and protein that will last. At least this is what I've been told by a third yr. She eats em all the time because they're better than a candy bar and fit in your pocket nicely. that and water were my lunch of champions.

I think pretty much anything goes as long as 1.) It isn't so greasy that you get an upset stomach 2.) It isn't so sugar-filled that you spike your glucose and insulin and then bottom out (some people are sensitive to this, others aren't; but if you eat sugar-heavy food only before your last block probably won't matter too much unless you have terrible insulin sensitivity) 3.) the food is fresh enough so that there aren't too many microbes growing on it (I'm imagine there are a few random people who have given themselves gastroenteritis in the middle of their step 1; bad idea, obviously).

I just brought 2 sandwiches, a cookie, and some coffee. Worked fine but I know that certain meals would have made me feel sleepy, so I avoided these. For me, that includes pasta, too much bread, and bananas, for some weird reason. You probably already know your own food idiosyncracies, so you should plan around that.

Brownies...yum. Brought a whole box. Shared them w. the proctors during breaks. They were nicer to me after that. One of them happened to be a really hot girl and it was a nice ice breaker. 😀

Everyone loves brownies, you can't go wrong.
