Before I took the class I read over this forum. Most users said it will be really difficult and will be nothing like high school biology. I'm about %40 done with the class and it's been pretty easy for me. Granite i'm taking it at a community college but even then some users said they found it difficult. I'm starting to worry that i'm not getting prepared for the MCAT as well as I should be.

I don't know how in depth your community college teaches but once you start studying for the MCAT it'll become clear really fast. If stuff in MCAT review books looks even remotely familiar you should be fine. They design the books to teach you even if you dont have a crazy strong Bio background

It wasn't. I got teh highest grade in my class, tutored the subject extensively and instructor and I had a lot of fun. I read the textbook cover to cover and enjoyed it..

I didn't think it was too bad. Granted I put a lot of study time in.

This is granite:

I thought college bio was more difficult than AP bio. Of quartz everyone knows that AP is a joke. Am I doing this right?

You're an academic marble, OP.

Some community college classes can be quite rigorous. Learn as much as you can from your class in order topaz with a great grade and browse through the MCAT books to see if the information there seems familiar/makes sense 😉

The puns are getting out of hand. This thread needs to start over with a clean slate and be more serious.

The puns are quite crusty actually, but nothing a basalt shaker cannot fix.

As long as your grades aren't rock bottom you are good to go.

Honestly though, all my uni bio classes were really easy, I don't think they prepared me well for the MCAT at all, aside from molecular cell and pathogenic.

Chalk it up to everyone just having fun, don't get jaded over it. Agate it, we may have done asbestos we can, But it was a beryl of fun while it lasted. I am sure this is the talc of pre allo by now?

Is this happening? lol! I don't have much of an apatite for puns....

Lord love a duck!! Puns make the world go round, especially for the crater good. However, someone should correct me, lest I sound igneous.

I lava you guys!

Presse, you piece of schist, stop being so tuff on OP.

You're a gem. But in order to get to the core of the issue, I must address certain thing in order to get to their core and prevent certain members on the forum from becoming uninformed dikes.

Too much?

Introductory bio was decently easy at my place except for plants. I hated the plants section and blew that off and got a 78% on the final test about it but still managed to get an A.

Intro bio is quite easy and should be the easiest of the pre-reqs that you have to take. I found Gen chem, orgo, physics and onyx much harder.

I did the worst in my intro-bio courses compared to phys, chem, ochem and upper division bio. Granted, I took them over summer so the courses were 6 weeks each instead of 10, which definitely made it more difficult.

Easy...in a humorous sort of way.

Also, don't worry so much about being prepared for the MCAT. Worry about being prepared for what lies BEYOND the MCAT

haha..repped. oh wait..

This... I like!

It was rushed, but if you would like to know my methodology, here it is:

I jumbled several concepts that have been prevalent on SDN along with a superficial looking babe. Juxtaposed, they look like opposites. But upon further examination, it produces a comic effect based on uncertainty.

Lol, that's genius!!

I got an A pretty easily. I basically crammed the night before the test.
