Assuming you understand that you will need an undergraduate degree (or at least 3 years of one) to get into dental school. Choose any strong four year university that you feel suits you. You can pour over statistics night and day but ultimately any accredited school will do as long as you are comfortable there and willing to work hard. That being said, the burden is on you to make the grades, get shadowing experience, and involve yourself in things that interest you. Don't make the same mistakes I did and be unfocused in those first years of college....you'll pay for it later.
If you have GREAT high school grades and are positive you want a career in dentistry there are a few schools (VCU, Tufts (?)) which offer programs that conditionally garuntee admission to their dental schools based on stellar high school academics and strong performance in the first few years of college. Do some research on this if you are interest. Good luck to you.
