So, I just found out that I got a C in a research and writing class. We had four people in our group and one of them seriously argued with the other three of us about everything every class period and made it so we were way behind schedule. Because of that we received an incomplete for the semester. We finished it up at the beginning of this semester and received a C due to not completing it on time. I have two questions: 1. How should I explain this in an interview? I can't really blame it on the person who caused us to get so far behind. 2. This is my third C (first one as an upper classman). How bad is that going to look on my application? (my overall GPA is around 3.8)

1. Tell the truth. "I turned in the final assignment late."
2. It's not gonna look great, but there's nothing you can really do about it. Your GPA still seems high enough so don't worry too much.

Don't bring it up, it is very unlikely they will bring it up....if they do, tell them what you learned out of it...do not make up some excuse.
