I hope it's considered 'early' application..

does anyone know how long is the process and when should I expect some interviews?

Congrats now you get to sit back and wait! Usually optomcas will verify everything within a few weeks. Once that happens they send it to your schools and they will contact you regarding an interview. Just keep an eye on your emails and start preparing for your interviews. Also, make sure your professional attire is ready to go. Good luck!

In the same boat as you! Im taking my OAT on Sept 18th, but haven't submitted any apps yet bc I want to wait till the exam is out of the way..

Thank god, I have someone in the same position. Good luck on the 18th 🙂 However, I am from Canada. Would that make a difference if I'm applying in October or as long as I get all applications in before thanks giving in the USA, I am okay?

I wouldn't know but I hope someone responds to you. To be honest, I have a friend who applied to Optom. schools in December and heard back by March!! She started Optom school a couple weeks ago. In general I keep hearing that as long as you apply before October you are still considered "early". Definitely much different than other apps like Med lol. Hopefully we'll be alright 🙂 Good luck to you on your exam as well!! I'm at that point of studying where I just want to get it over with >.<

Hey guys! I was going to wait until December to submit my app, since I'll be taking classes in the fall and the oat. I was wondering how long it takes for the app to reach the schools after you submit everything on optomcas
