I decided to delete this post because of the borderline threatening PMs I've been getting for not sharing my notes. I tried to write a helpful break down. Some people feel entitled about getting into dental school. Maybe that says something about our generation. Guess what, it's hard work. Do your own work.

Did you use qvault periodic throughout your studies or towards the end?
Also, what were you averaging in qvault? Were the difficulties similar?

I used QVault during the last 2-3 weeks. My scores were 18/18/17/19/18/20/19/19/19/16.

I don't think the content is similar but I thought that the way the questions are written was similar.

Lets talk about plants, because I'm on the plant diversity (five-kingdom survey) and general plants section in Cliffs AP

They barely go into the life cycles. Most of the plant life cycles is very wordy, and to be quite frank, I think it wil be impossible for me to remember everything that goes on in the ovary of an angiosperm. To what extent did you learn the life cycles and what resources did you use? Cliffs basically just lists the definitions of each out. Same goes for the life cycles of the fungi (basidiomycota, ascomycota, zygomycota)

I feel, especially for plants, i'm losing out to the law of diminishing returns, which I'd like to limit as much as possible to leave room for the rest of BIO, chem, orgo, math, etc.

Thoughts? I take my exam july 31st.

PS I hope to god I don't have any questions on plants. really wasn't my thing in my bio classes, and now that I'm reviewing them again, it's hell revisited

Here is another tip that might seem obsessive but helped. Study when you're not studying. Whenever you're doing mundane things like taking a shower or driving, review a process. Go through all the steps of mitosis or cellular respiration. I swear by this. I will say that it's usually good to live life in the moment but I think you can forgo that for a couple of months during DAT studying.

I would focus on the idea of double fertilization. Learn what happens/the parts of the plant/and what the results are for that to occur and be able to explain it to another person.

For fungi I learned a couple of things about each of these and made mnemonics to remember which categories they belong to.

Cellular Slime Molds, Plasmodial slime molds, Oomycota, Zygomycota, Glomeromycota, Ascomycota, Basidiomycota, Deuteromycota, Lichens.

I forgot to mention this in my original notes but I made another 2 pages of typed notes with the kingdom protista and fungi information. I remembered one or two words about each. I read it so many times that I eventually stopped being afraid of that chapter.

Don't go crazy and stop studying other things just to learn this info. Just make your own notes so you can remember those and be able to recall them. It will eventually become second nature. You definitely have enough time since your exam is at the end of July.

One more thing. Stop telling yourself how much you dislike plants and how difficult it was to learn about them in bio class. You should take a piece of paper and write "I love everything about plants and I find it really easy to learn about them". Then tape it to a wall. You'll start believing it.

See above answer for scores. I used pretty much what everyone else does for the other sections. Chads/Destroyer etc. I feel like I didn't do anything special enough to write break downs about the other sections. There are plenty of those already. I can answer specific questions if you have any.

Hey I know you said you to make your own notes, which I have. And I am now 1.5 months into my DAT studying but still struggle quite a bit with the Bio section. If you could provide us with a copy of your notes that would be really helpful since you seem to know what you are doing. I'm sure there are others in this thread who could use your intricate notes as well. Thanks in advance and great job!
