Hey guys, I just scheduled a test date. I will be taking the OAT again (second time) on december 31, 2008. The only thing missing from my file are these upcoming OAT scores. You think by the time I take it, classes will be just about full? I only have a cumulative 3.05 gpa. I scheduled it that late only b/c I want to assure that I do my best and not rush it. B/c first time I took the OAT, my scores were poor: 300AA, 320TS. Two sections at 260 and one at 290. So that is why im retaking the test. I just fear that i will have a huge disadvantage taking it by late dec. But id rather take that chance and know that I had quality studying done for it than take it sooner and rush the material. What do you guys think? In all honesty? Thanks for any feedback. 🙂

Honestly I am in the same situation. I'm retaking the OAT for the second time on November 7th to be more competitive. I think as long as you study and start applying to optometry schools now you should be fine. I started applying and most of my applications ask if I'm retaking the OAT. Good luck! I hope you do great!

thank you smileforeyes, i applied in early september and they have every component to my file except the new OAT scores. so all that is pending to make my application complete are these new OAT scores. best of luck on nov 7th! 😀
