The title of your post is the answer in itself. Major in whatever you want. It won't affect you one way or the other in admissions if you major in healthcare studies vs. biology.

Correction: Major in whatever you want so long as getting As in that major doesn't give you an aneurysm, 'cause adcoms aren't going to give you a break if your GPA is below 3.5.
 
I feel like these are topics that need to be stickied, including MD vs DO, URM topics, undergrad prestige, med school rankings, GPA vs. MCAT, necessity of volunteering, and how to answer "why medicine" threads.

The answers never seem to change with those topics and every year you get an influx of new premeds asking the same things without searching for it first.
