Just wanted to make a thread different from all the pharmcas/gpa/application questions we've been having.

I'll be taking:
Biochem w/lab - 5 sem units
General Physics I w/lab - 4 sem units
Stats - 3 sem units

I'll be working, volunteering, and working on applications also, so I can't load up on too many units. What are you guys taking?

Biochemistry
Genetics
Sociology
English Technical Writing
Polymers (chemistry)

I'm going to be teaching a couple chemistry labs and probably teach assist a couple others. I'll also try to keep volunteering at the pharmacy once a week.

Oh yeah, there's the whole application thing as well.

Organic Chem I with lab
General physics I with lab
General biology with lab

Add working at the pharmacy. This is my first 'real' semester as a pre-pharm.

Organic Chem I with lab
Biochemistry with lab
Microbiology with lab
Psychology
Economics

15 credits.

I might drop Micro, and take Ecology instead as that course is required for my major. But I might not take Ecology because it seems like a very DULL class. I'll probably take it in my senior year.

Microbiology - 4

Stats - 3

Physics w/ calc ( have to retake both of my physics b/c biochem. degree requires them to be calculus based! ) - 4

Speech - 3

British Lit. - 3

botany+lab - 5 quarter units
ecology+lab - 5 quarter units
neuroscience - 4 quarter units

Working part-time, applying, pharmacy volunteer, studying for PCAT, and EC

I always hate the first week of school because every prof feels the need to explain the topics we were supposed to learn in the pre-reqs, like what hydrogen bonding is and what DNA is made out of. Seriously, upper level classes, let's move on now. Makes the first test easy though.

wow, some of you guys are taking on pretty tough course loads. good luck with that!

Classical Physics (with Lab) -- 5 units
Human Anatomy and Physiology (with Lab) -- 5 units
Abnormal Behavior (Psychology) -- 3 units

I will also be tutoring, and hopefully, I will get a job as a pharmacy tech. I am now studying for PTCE and will take the exam on Aug 31st. Plus, I have tons of essays to write for supplemental applications.

Just started back for my sci and math prereqs...I'm working 40 hours a week and taking Calculus I, Gen Chem I, and Gen Chem I Lab.

So far I really like the material MUCH better than I liked business school. But it is definitely time consuming to keep on top of everything...I really don't know how some of you guys do ALL of that.

I want to volunteer at a pharmacy some as well, but I am still adjusting to working and taking classes at this point.

Wow! I'm having anxiety over just looking at some of those course loads!!!

I'm working full time, raising a 3 year old and taking Upper Division Pharmacology course and Medical-Based A&P II.

To the person who is retaking Organic b/c it's been a long time ago, how are you doing that? are you going to a university, or did you find it offered online somewhere? Anyone know if there is an online Orgo class (no lab - don't think I need to retake the lab anyway)?

Thanks!
