They're ~120 bucks but they last about 5 years. Incredibly comfortable too.

I work a 12 hour shift by myself...I bought a pair of Sketchers Relaxed Step Salutary shoes. They've done good. Feet never feel tired or worn out. I bought the gray pair so that they go with everything...

Hey Notecard...those are the Dansko's right? I searched the forum looking for this same anser, but it seemed that most responses were on the medical rotation side. I'm going to go try and find a place that sells these to try them on.

I second the Skechers Relaxed Step shoes. Wide variety, reasonably priced.

^^ What about for a female? Is that a unisex shoe?

Hey guys,
Could you plz post the "exact" name of the shoes that u show in the picture...and also which website to order it from, if u were to order it online....because these shoes dont seem to be the ones available at the mall or in jc penny.

so many of these shoes are available many places.

Your best bet is to go to a higher end shoe store, I'm brainfarting on the names, and try everything that's in there.

I love Danskos - some people hate them. You'll have to try them on and see what you think.

And be prepared to spend at least $100. These shoes aren't at JC Penney's.

I tried Dansko's and hated them. The leather can be pretty hard which can be uncomfortable for some. I currently wear the Reebok Easy Tones to work. They are really comfortable.

So whats the most comfortable shoe to wear while standing all day in the pharmacy? Any suggestions on a good pair

Nursemates.

I had 3 pairs when I was a medical assistant. When I did double shifts (or sometimes triple), these saved my feet. For your legs, try jobst compression socks. Your lower body will thank you.

I wear a pair of old Adidas Sneakers and bought a pair of these

asics running shoes, completely stylish with whatever dress closes you have on.

dress shoes, allen edmonds by far. casual...i prefer sanuks when i can get away with them. clogs are good but not my thing. just so long as you're not wearing crocs at work...ugh.

Naturalizes ftw! Easy spirit and aerosole are good too and they're all at you local mall Macy's marshalls and some have their own stores

Yes, Danskos are unisex. They come in all sorts of colors, and a lot of the nurses and doctors I worked with wore them.

To answer the OP's question, I really like Quarks. They are super light, and even after standing/walking on a 12-hour shift my feet were never sore. Plus they aren't quite as expensive as Danskos. You can find them in high end shoe stores and uniform stores, but here's their site: http://www.quarkgear.com/clogs.asp

crocs!!! they're super sexy looking too.
I used to have a pair of awesome birkenstocks. They were autoclavable too haha

No offense guys but most of those shoes are aweful looking. I know, I know, comfort over style. Here is what I wear:

They are Steve Madden and I got mine at Macy's. I also have them in white. It is a good looking shoe and they are pretty comfortable.

Everybody's different. If you asked a couple of the residents I worked with they'd say cowboy boots. Not too sexy with scrubs IMO, but they swear by them.

I really need to hear everyone's advice on this. I know of some of the main brands like Dansko, Clarks, MBT...but thought I would get some feedback from all of you.

I bought a pair that's supposed to do the job, but they're not holding up. Could be because they're new, but I need to find a pair that has extra support, cushion, spring etc. for long hours.

Thanks in advance!

I've tried Danskos and Clarks, but both gave me really bad arch pain by the end of the day. The only ones that have ever worked for my longer shifts are crocs. Would love to find a more attractive shoe, though!
