Ranked 9 for EM but still am at risk for not matching. Didn't honor any of my four EM rotations, have an M1 class failure, and a couple bad comments on my deans letter that wasn't edited. No idea what my four SLOEs look like. If I don't match will I be competitive enough for an Anesthesia spot in SOAP? Would it be risky to put all my eggs in that basket? Would otherwise be interested in IM. If I apply for both Anesthesia and IM how should I tailor my new PS?

That part is easy. Write 2 of them. And if you can, get somebody to write you a spare LOR for those specialties now. Pretty sure you can still upload them.

You're probably competitive enough for Anesthesia. If you have to go down this route (which I hope you don't), you should use all of your apps in the first round and split the apps however you see fit.
