UCLA students: Do use SOE during your first year? I wanted to wait to purchase my laptop and, in the meantime, use my mac until I need to use SOE (in 2,3,4th year??). :0 Thanks

(btw, I believe SOE stands for "software of excellence" and is clinical software, but I'm not sure...)

SOE actually stands for "System of Excrement" and you'll only use it occasionally until your 3rd & 4th years. Grades each quarter are also in SOE.

I might be wrong, but I can't remember ever using SOE until the latter half of second year.
