Hey everyone,

Just wondering if there are any solubility rules that I have not listed below that I should know for DAT gen chem.
Of course, it would be great to know them all...but unfortunately I don't have time/room in my brain (haha) to memorize everything! That is, unless it is necessary to know them all...

All Group I metal, NO3-, NH4+, ClO4-, C2H3O2 salts are soluble

Most Ag+, Pb2+, Hg2+ salts are insoluble (except with those above)

Thanks!

know the Barium, Strontium, Calcium solubility rules.
Sulfates soluble except with the ones above.
Sulfide insoluble except with the ones above.

This is my complete list and I have never come across anything that doesn't fall under this list. I found it easy to memorize if you just attempt to write down the list once a day for a few days until it's second hand:

I base it all off of what IS soluble: The big bosses are soluble no matter what!

*BIG BOSSES = Group I Alkali Metals and NH4+ (ammonium)
*[(POSSOCO) PO4 3-, S 2-, SO3 2-, CO3 2- are only soluble w/ the big bosses]

Boss - NO3-, ClO4-, ClO3-, C2H3O2, CH3CO2 (the last 2 are forms of acetate)

Cl-, Br-, I- soluble except w/ Ag+, Pb2+, Hg2+
SO4 2- soluble except w/ Ag+, Pb2+, Hg2+, Ca2+, Sr2+, Ba2+
Hydroxides (OH-) and Oxides are soluble with Ca2+, Sr2+, and Ba2+
