I actually purchased the UCV series but never read it. I would just recc using q bank as a way to get "clinical vignette" exposure. Also, step up recently published a book called step up to the bedside that is supposedly very good as well, and since it's only one book, it's a lot cheaper then the UCV series ($30 for step up vs $200 for UCV series). I actually purchased step up to the bedside too and didn't open that either, but my classmates who did said that they found it to be useful. I personally think that doing questions is a better way to learn things of clinical relevance for step I since doing questions forces you to come up with your own next steps in management and diagnosis by yourself as opposed to just reading what should be done and following a patient in the clinical vignettes.
