OK so I already got accepted to dental school and I wish to give back to the world.

First and foremost, the thing everyone should fear the most when aproaching the DAT is stress...I don't care how smart you are but if your stressed on T-day...subtract a few points on on your test. Study hard-"er" today so that you are prepared for taking the test tomorrow.

First question on my DAT in the Bio section was this...and this is really a funny question:

1.)Jon and mary have four children, three of them were girls and another was a boy...what is the probability that their next child will be a girl?

I felt pretty dumb when I started to draw out a punnett square...it's 50%!!!

2.)What type of symmetry is found in the phylum echinodermata?

Another super easy question...radial

3.)Another question I had was about fetal heart circulation...just know ductus arteriosus, ductus venosus, and the other differences b/w a fetal heart and adult heart.

With G-Chem section, if you can understand PV=nRT completely, than you can solve 25% of the questions.

With O-Chem section, I had one question that showed 4 compounds that has two chiral centers each. The question asked me which of the following has an RRSS rotation...Easy question, but took awhile to answer: I just answered with "C", skipped it, and returned when I had time to answer that question...remember that every question is worth the same weight.

I know these questions may not make you DAT score higher, but what I wanted to show was that most of the questions are reasonable. Yeah there are some crazy hard questions but if you know your stuff, you can easily knock out some wrong answers.

Study hard today so that you won't hit yourself in the future by saying "I wish I studied harder". If you put your all into the test, you can rest easier by saying "At least I tried my best".

Good Luck and remember that this four hour test can alter you life...so treat it that way.

GPA:3.4/3.3(Sci)
DAT:22(AA)/22(NS w/ a 29 in G-Chem 🙂 )/21(PAT)
Interviewed: UF, Nova, Columbia, BU, Tufts, UPENN
Accepted: Nova, BU (not going), Tufts (not going)
Waitlisted: UPENN

Hell the biology section really doesnt seem hard, but im a biology person. THanx for the info, your stats are similar to mine so its giving me hope! I just need to study my ass off for this test that im taking in june/july. I will definately be studying for a good 4-6 hours a day and finally 8 hours a day a week or 2 before the test. So im thinking i should be straight. Thanx for the info!
