What are the effects of parasympathetic/sympathetic Nervous system on the heartrate abdomen.

I know that the symp increases the heart rate, para decreases bla bla.
But whatabout the abdomen?

This all came about because of a guy that everytime he saw this girl, would get 'butterflies' in his stomach, and become tachy.
Pharamsist friend consulted a book, reccomended some Beta Blockers.
The guy researched it, and realized that since he had asthma beta blockers were a no no.
Back to the questions:

What are other ways of dealing wtih tachycardia beside using Beta Blockers?

How does beta blockers work on tachy people, and the effect it has on sthma?

I dunno about all that technical medical stuff, but beta blockers work by imbuing the patient, through an as-yet-poorly-understood mechanism, with cutting-edge style and a vicelike grasp of social nuance.
