So a perfectly good thread gets dumped into the run on thread, "what are my chances"; where the heck can you find your thread? At least if you have to move it, make clicking on the old thread take you right to your thread, not page 1 of what are my chances thread. it makes the thread totally useless. People responding to it is lost; you have no clue what they are responding to any more. What's the point of clicking on your original thread taking you to the first post when there are already over 2000 posts. I might as well start a new thread with the original question because i certainly can't find any answers on that endless thread.😡

Your one thread I moved accidentally to the wrong thread. If you're looking for your bio thread its in the applications thread.

Usually the moved thread will take you directly to the thread that it was moved. I did a mass exodus today where I had a few casualties, one being your thread. You can always go into your posting history and find the post you are looking for and responses that followed. Most people quote the post or you can get the gist of advice from following the thread. We can't have it go directly to the post although I agree that is good idea and maybe with updates to the forum they can figure this out.

I apologize for the inconvenience.

Ok, thanks, but honestly when a thread asking a specific question gets moved to a huge general thread like that, it gets lost. No one is going to respond any more. Also I noted there were plenty of responses on that thread that didn't quote what they were referring to; and I will bet that the majority of those were from moved threads. They made sense when they were alone but not when they got moved. 🙁

Actually the bigger threads have done pretty good if people use them correctly. Sometimes the merging gets confusing, but we can't have 10 out of 50 threads on the first page with people asking what should you do? The sooner we get those questions merged together, the easier it is for people to answer. We have some regulars that do take the time to help people out. I know it can seem frustrating but right now things are also a bit slow with responses. Usually all questions get answered but remember not everyone can know everything about unique situations so people get tired of answering the 3.3 gpa, 3.5 sci gpa, 25 MCAT, EMT questions.

Specific questions like yours were application questions that actually can help people out. If you're trying to search a particular thread, its actually alot easier then searching the whole forum. If we keep all the same information together, it cuts down on clutter and gives a great resource to pull information out of. I know its confusing for newer members but we're trying to make it easier to find things and I'd like to work on updating the FAQ to reflect some of the questions, like your own. Many of these questions get asked every single year and I debated on whether or not that should have been merged but since we're trying to keep all topics together I thought it was best. I could follow the responses for yours though. I do appreciate your feedback and any other feedback that you guys have about how the forum works. Unfortunately we don't have the control to fix everything the way we'd like but I know that the mods work to make it a "happy" place for everyone. 😀

If you have any input please don't hesitate to contact someone about your thoughts. We value feedback from our members since that is the whole reason why we are here, to help you.

It's like the arc of the covenant in Raiders of the Lost Arc. The thread gets swept away by men in dark suits to a secret location and packed away in a box, only to be observed by 'top' SDN mods.
