So I'm tired of all the "OMG will I get in even if I have a 1.8?" or "I want to be a dentist! who else does??"

Anyone work any interesting dental related jobs this summer? I worked for St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. I was an assistant on the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, a big truck providing dental care for people who can't afford it in Northeast Philly, right near Temple actually.
Some pics.

If you're a suburban kid like I am, you'll be surprised, as this is actually one of the better sites/neighborhoods we go to.

(tip to those thinking about going to Temple.. Good school, but visit it first. lol.)
One of the Dentists and the hygienist in the back. Gives you an idea about how cramped we are. Other guy is the driver.

Hygienist again. I was assisting so I couldn't really take pics of any op work. Sorry.

So enjoy.. comment/question/whatever.

Yeah, it was okay. Working in a place that moves with many many different patients provides its own set of unique challenges most of us will probably never see in private practice. I'm glad I had the experience, but I don't think public health is for me...
