Just had a an abstract accepted for both oral and poster presentation (its on the same project, to be presented at the same conference in both). Which "category" should I place it under? Not trying to list it as both since it's double dipping, but just not sure which is considered "better"

ERAS will let you list both. If you don't want to then I'd go with the oral presentation since that is "better"

Ok, I was hesitant to do that reading what others have written about not "double dipping"

It should just be an oral. If you list both I'm going to pull a muscle from rolling my eyes--I don't buy that programs are too lazy to do anything more than just "count" pubs and abstracts, I at least look and see where you published and where you presented. If you present the same exact abstract as a poster and an oral at the same conference, or the same poster at 5 different conferences, I'm gonna notice.

Congrats on the recognition!
