Dude seriously... you must be nuts.. chix in SF arent that hot at all... Im not saying madison is much better but you will get a "college" experience there. YOu wont just be absorbed by some city and not matter. Also for you pre-meds being a "med student" garners no azz unless you are looking at the HS set.. Being a doctor though makes a difference.

"arent hot at all" - compared to what? here's a general rule of thumb the further south you go and the better the weather, the hotter the chicks. hence, SF>madison (even factoring in the "hotness" added by having a state undergrad school in close proximity). This rule holds true in many other situations. for example dallas>NYC and miami>philly, also San Diego>SF let the flames begin. i'm sure i don't have near the experience with "hot chicks" as ectopic fetus. :meanie:

i did ok "being a med student" but it wasn't because i'm a med student. its because i'm God's gift to the ladies.

Lets here your rebuttal ectopic fetus. :luck:

"chix is SF aren't that hot at all". ummm...okay. who wants a college experience? granted, there's some perks to young chix, but last time i checked, we all graduated from college and are now dead set on blowing it out with disgustingly hot a$$ that's slightly older than 18 (but not much). and my thoughts can be summed up in OUsooner's post on the relationship between latitude and relative hotness of the chix. in fact, i don't even think it's a theory anymore...quite possibly it's made the ranks of a law of sorts.

and as far as being a "med-student" not garnering any a$$...well please SPEAK FOR YOURSELF. i can personally say that it CONSTANTLY works for me when i decide to spit some game. but i guess there's other factors that come into play when chix decide whether or not they want you.

I think in this case, the OP should go to UCSF. Its pretty obvious that family, among other things, is pulling him that direction.

I have to cringe at all of the not-so-gentle jabs at WI though. Despite the abundance of corn, cheese and Green Bay Packers (and we do have those, and they are fabulous), there are TONS of benefits to living here.

The cost of living is great, and you can easily get a 2 or 3 bedroom condo payment for what a studio in a large Cali city would run you. And being at a Big 10 school gets you access to great football, basketball, and the NCAA Hockey Champs! Madison is a great city, full of culture and fun . . .

I was accepted to programs all over the country, from so-so private schools to top notch University programs. I picked UW for both financial and personal reasons and I haven't regretted it for a second. I haven't matched yet (MS3) but people from UW match into top programs in all specialties.

One of the best things about UW is the laid back, friendly atmosphere. People stress about the fact that we have grades instead of pass/fail, but I have the most supportive classmates you can imagine; the competition is nonexistent. Its a great place to go to med school.

i apologize for everyone on the post that took jabs at UW....i just feel that the average BMI of the chix in Madison slightly eclipses that of those in SF. but that's just my opinion. not necessarily ripping on Madison per se, rather stating a very important point.

Cant argue with the southern theory.. I grew up in miami.. nuff said.. Overall hotness though by region goes like this..

1) the southeast by a LANDSLIDE
2) West coast which barely edges out
3) the midwest.. If you factor in personality it is probably a tie cause west coast people (Cali people) tend to be much more into flashiness and other non attractive things (like wanting you for your money) Let the flames begin!
4)Way down is the NE.. Honestly.. yuck....

For the record I have lived in the Southeast (3 cities), the NE, Philly, NY and other places, and am now in Chicago and previously lived in Cincy. Never lived on the west coast but will soon..

I have no doubt you did well as a med student 😀 Just my $0.02.. ill add more later.. must go to bed..

overall a good assessment w/ a few holes. i am currently sauced and chompin down my burger king while trying not to wake the S.O. who actually works for a living. 😀

i have to take a class composite pic in 4 hrs so my response will have to wait til tomorrow. 😴

Nicely done... I was slightly sauced myself last night but I have to admit by assesment was accurate. I will anxiously wait for you to fill in the holes to the "Southern Theory"

OUSooner you will be moving to Chicago (My current location), have fun lots of nice looking women but man there are some very high BMI types. Good luck with PM&R where r u gonna be? Northwestern (RIC), Schwab or somewhere else?

The only beef I had with the "southern theory" was that the South/Southwest seemed to be left out. Texas is LOADED along with some nice ladies in Oklahoma (I've seen it myself, not a homer), Arizona (which could be West I suppose), and Louisiana (although a lot if it there has washed away).
I would put the South in a tie with the West. Either way the theory you propose is pretty solid. 😎

Solid indeed. Yeah I realize that my southern theory leaves some states in limbo most notably texas and oklahoma.. Not sure where to put em.. Arizona IMO is clearly west coast.. The issue with texas is that it is such a big state..

So I guess this guy didnt come back and tell us what he decided to do.
