I have an etiquette kind of question to ask. I shadowed my family dentist over the summer and sent her a thank you card. I went in in November for a cleaning and she did not charge me, so should I send her another thank you card for that or what? I've only been knowing her for a couple of years, she knows me through the orthodontist I used to work for and she went to my #1 choice school, she's always telling me that she'll help out in any way, blah blah blah. So since it's been a couple of months, I'm kind of feeling pressured as to decide on what to do, so card or no card?

Thanks for any replies.

I would send her a little note as I believe you have a lot more to loose if you don't versus if you do. Blatantly stating "thanks for the free cleaning" just isn't my style (unless I knew that is what she would be looking for) - I would go for a more indirect approach to expressing your gratitude for both her services, time, and willingness to help, e.g. "It was a pleasure talking to you..I appreciate your offer of assistance and your services" etc.
