I'm thinking about optometry and i dont know much about it..can you guys help me out..what are my chances...I'm a biology major graduated from VCU in Richmond Virginia with gpa is 3.36 and science gpa is 3.36 also.. i have tons of volunteering experiences, im the vice president of community service at my school..i attended many medical enrichment programs and..i dont know much about oat so anyone can talk to me that would be great..but im starting to do some research on my own.. do u have to take the oat to get in? and how much does a opt. make a year? and loans for schools etc..sorry to start this long thread but i need your help here.

By the way, your numbers look good, and your extracurriculars are great too...just make sure you do well on the OAT. And yes, the OAT is required.

it's a bit hard to say what your chances are. it'd be better if you find out about optometry first hand by volunteering/working for optometrists in different settings. The webside alfrecOD suggested is also very useful. best of luck!
