Hey everyone. I'm getting more and more confused on soundwaves as I keep studying. Here is my understanding...
Tube with both ends open: both ends will be nodes and will act just like a regular transverse wave with fn=nv/2L and wavelength=2L/n
Tube with 1 end up: the OPEN end will be the node and the closed end will be antinode. fn=nv/4L and wavelength = 4L/n where n=1,3,5...
I really hope that's right but here is why I have confusion. Every picture I look at contradicts the previous (unless I'm missing something). Here's what I mean...
