Section VI BR...Can someone explain how they got that answer?

In a study of organ pipes, an engineer charts the frequencies of two equally long pipes when they are made to resonate in various harmonic modes.

f pipe B (Hz)

1020

The MOST likely explanation for the data is:

A. the air was warmer when Pipe A was tested
B. the air was warmer when Pipe B was tested
C. Pipe A was tested in a lower gravitational field
D. Pipe B was tested in a lower gravitational field

The answer is A....Why?
 
velocity = frequency x wavelength

Increase temp, increase velocity, increase frequency. If you want further explanation of why temperature increases the speed of sound, check the other newer thread.
