Im finishing the Second pt of O. Chem in Two weeks.....i think im going to end up with a C in the class...i did well in the first session...but right now i have a really tough professor...this is really stressing me out!

can't help you, i loved second semester o chem 😍

If it's any consolation, the DAT is primarily first semester material. If you kick ass on that section, they probably won't ask you too many ???s about it.

thats good that its mostly on the first semester stuff, but im just worried that the "C" will really mess up my chances. I received an A for the first session. It will still average out to a 3.0 for the two classes if i get a C, but 2 B's look better than a A and a C dont you think?

My experience was that there was more Orgo 2 material on the DAT than Orgo 1. I did terrible in my orgo classes anyway. On the order of a C in Orgo 1 and a D in Orgo 2. :scared: Gonna retake the second class this semester.. hoping for an A 👍

yea..i unfortunately got a C in organic I. organic II is not as bad. if you happen to make a C in organic I, you need to make up for it by doing well on the organic section of the DAT to prove you can handle it. thankfully, that's what i did and made a 21 on the orgo section. good luck

I got a C on my first orgo and a A on the second one. And the same professor taught both classes. I got used to her exam styles and studied my butt off during my second orgo.

I was worried just like you up until the DAT day. When I scored 29 on the organic section, I knew I didn't have to worry anymore. Not one person during my interview asked me to explain the C, the one and only C I got on my transcript.

My point is that if you do well on the orgo section of the DAT, you should be fine. Do not worry about it. Do spend your worry time studying!
