hello yall, hope everyones having an awesome summer so far!

I'm planning to apply for the next cycle, and I feel that my stats are not very stellar... So I'm lookin for some backup plans. I wonder if theres any SMP for D.O. schools, and if there are how much do they really help?

thx in advance

LECOM and PCOM have one which gives you an interview if your grades are at a certain number in the smp. I head KCUMB has an automatic acceptance guarantee if you hit a "B" average, i would look into that. I am sure they are more though.

I don't think SMP's are specific to MD or DO schools. They're just SMP's, and you can apply wherever you want when you're done.

If you mean DO schools that offer SMP's, I know TCOM has one with a very high acceptance rate to medical school for people who finish it. Both PCOMs have something like that too.

Yes, but who cares? The one-year program is typically a certificate or something, and the two-year program is going to be the master's. But it doesn't matter. Your goal is to be an MD or DO, not to get a master's degree.
