So heres the deal.
My undergrad GPA is a 3.4 due to unfortunate events of having idiopathic hypersomnia (essentially narcolepsy) but not being diagnosed until september of 2013.
I also took the MCAT in september. My score was awful. My boyfriend passed away in august. I thought about canceling/rescheduling the exam but I really thought I could fight through it. Big mistake.

I have decided to apply to a specials masters program in order to help boost my GPA.
I will be taking the MCAT again January 25th but will not receive my score until end of February.
The special masters program is rolling admission so there is no deadline. However, I was sent an email saying there was a "soft" deadline on February 1st and I could get receive an acceptance (or not) by March 15th.

Here's my dilemma..
My application will not be reviewed if an MCAT score is not received to complete the application. I do not want to send my first one but I was recommended to do so if I want to have my application reviewed earlier.
1. Should I just wait until March 1st to send my application with the new MCAT score OR
2. Should I just submit my old MCAT score on February 1st?
--I don't know if it is worse to have a disadvantage of applying later (the semester starts in the summer/June so they application has to be sent in atleast 2 months in advance...april) or if it is worse to have a strong application but a poor MCAT score.
--The application says you can send either your MCAT, GRE, SAT, or ACT score. To me, that makes it sound like the scores are not heavily weighted when looking at this application.

It looks like you already asked them about whether your application should be submitted with your first score, and you are recommended to submit early. I am uncertain about the MCAT score cut off for SMPs, but my impression is that you should follow their advice and submit early.

One thing I would ask is whether your application will be re-reviewed or reconsidered once the new score becomes available--two weeks before the final decision.

There seems to be no cut off for my program, or at least it is not listed as a requirement, only a minimum GPA is.
That is a good question, I went ahead and asked them. Thank you

Then I would definitely submit it before or on Feb. 1st.
