hi all
i'm an IMG med student, but i am an american citizen,

i know that if i want to work as a specialist in us i have to make the residency in the states. i heard that it is true for all fields apart from anesthesia. meaning, if i make my residency in that field in Israel, i still can work (after completing the 3 steps) as a specialist in us.
Is it true?
Where can i find reliable information about it?

thank you very much!🙂

It is not true. To work in the US, you must complete training in the US. Anesthesia is the same as every other field. There are rare exceptions for people of "extraordinary skill", but I wouldn't count on that.
