Speed Reading Course

I want to know if anyone has taken or heard of a good speed reading course. There are many on the internet, but I want something that works. Not a miracle or anything, but if I put the effort in, I want to at least double my reading speed. Any suggestion, especially first hand experiences are greatly appreciated.

I took one at my undergraduate university (BYU) and it worked very well. That doesn't help you, of course, but I thought I'd let you know that cheap and successful courses do exist.
