Spine and Sports Programs doing PRP injections.

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Actually not many "sports and spine" fellowships have PRP exposure. Most of the sports only fellowships do. The one program the stood out when I was interviewing was Southwest spine and sports in Arizona http://www.swspineandsports.com/ . Excellent fellowship with exposure to PRP, accupuncture, advanced Interventional spine and sports medicine.

Thank you for the replies. I am interested to see how PRP type injections develop in the United States. I see the example of Dr. Peter Wehling in Germany at the Center for Orthopaedics and Molecular Medicine. I find it interesting how he looks at the molecular level to combat Osteoarthritis.

The general consensus I hear is that it helps 40-80% that have the injections. I think it would be a nice tool to be exposed to during fellowship training.

I think he is a fraud and a charlatan. Look at his quality work on youtube.

The only thing in medicine that helps 80% of people is time and opioids.

Anything with a $1000 out-of-pocket pricetag is going to have a huge placebo effect.
