I am very curious about the realities of being a neurosurgery spine specialist. After completing residency and a spine surgery fellowship, what are the conditions like? I have heard many times that neurosurgery in general is very demanding in terms of time, and that it leaves little room for anything else in your life. Is the same true for spine surgeons? Any information would be wonderful. I am very attracted to the idea of pursuing this career path, but I'd like to know what I would be getting myself into. Thanks!
